My kids were teens in this era—- thought I wouldn’t survive the music and all the neon. Hardcore 60’s rocker mom and “like a virgin kids”, made for a torturous, bumpy road. I did take them to see Michael Jackson though.

The Michael Jackson concert was well worth the $400.00 apiece tickets. He was so very talented.. we had great seats and the girls have never forgotten that day. I took them to see many other concerts, I always went to the concerts with them. They could see any group they wanted to but the deal was I went with them and I drove. Other parents were happy to let me do it.

Jengetfit— 60’s hippie, San Francisco, communes, Hendrix, Pink Floyd , Led Zep, a great time to be a young person. Wouldn’t trade those years for anything.. Hard to move from that experience to Boy George, Madonna, Duran Duran and jeeeze, Depeche Mode. I spent part of that concert helping resuscitate kids who had od’d on heroine..
