I’m having a hard time meeting my protein macros on most days. I used to follow a low carb way of eating( until last March when my bad cholesterol went from normal to very high in 2 years, so changed my diet and my LDL came down 51 points in 3 months) had no trouble meeting protein then. Anyway I still eat meat , usually once a day. I’ve added beans occasionally and whey protein goes in my oatmeal that I eat most days. Trying to figure out ways to add protein. I’m not a fan of sweet tasting drinks , so I’ve avoided the protein drinks so far. Does anyone know one that isn’t overly sweet tasting? Thanks

could try cottage cheese. that's good sweet or salty. the isopure drinks are more of a Kool aid type flavor not milk shake. but their expensive. I've used pea protein from now foods in oatmeal but never made shakes out of it. it's a very odd taste but not unpleasant. I also use a ton of Greek yogurt. that replaces sour cream pretty well. not drinks I realize. almost all whey stuff is sweet milk shake flavor.

plant-based Vega sport premium protein 30 g per scoop. I had blueberries when I need to supplement my protein. I don't like sugar sweets so this one is great for me it has 160 calories 0 cholesterol 6 g of carbohydrates to being fiber

lentils and chickpeas are very high protein... there's always unflavoured protein you could get, so this way is not sweet

Egg whites. Foods with amino acids. Look up combinations to best make a complete proteins 👍

- Looks like it should be sweet - but it is not - "Love Good Fats" bars - have high in protein and fibre options - even half a bar works to raise your protein level for the day. Just another choice.

Pumpkin seeds! They are loaded with protein. Careful with the seasoned variety- added salt and heart issues. I like mine plain and it’s an easy way to hit macros at the end of the day

Try adding unsalted nuts and low fat cheese. Low/ or no fat yogurt is also a good choice. Stay away from the yogurt that has added fruit which is full of sugar, instead add fresh fruit. I am also struggling to get enough protein and these were some options my dietitian recommended.

For protein drinks, I also don’t like the overly sweet taste. I use 1 scoop of regular protein powder and 1 scoop unflavored collagen powder. Cuts down on the sweetness.

I found a protein drink called 'Evolve' that uses pea protein (at Safeway). It wasn't overly sweet at all👍

Since you're already eating beans, how about eating more of them? I like to toss together bean and whole grain salads, which pack a lot of protein. I also eat soy and seitan (gluten), but I know a lot of people disagree with eating those.
