So, day 3 begins.

Weight is starting to come off - mostly water - but at least a visual placebo to keep going.

My ultimate plan is 10lbs a month with a diet plan, much like the South Beach diet, where you eat plenty of greens, safe oils and protein.

I think this is the most sustainable plan for me as I really like the foods it offers.

My consistent problem is alcohol - mostly the mixed drinks. That seems to cause me to make poor food choices, loose momentum and focus, which leads to self-defeating thoughts and 'bingo' more weight gain.

I don't seem to have any issues with wine tho.

But, for now and into the future until I get a mental OK, booze is off the table.

I have a fast-approaching Easter holiday to contend with - I haven't decided how to navigate that just yet.

Also have a face-to-face team meeting with my colleagues from work at a Mexican restaurant - which I am dreading mostly because of the weight gain since our last, pre-covid get together.

I am due for a raise, but really am concerned that this team meeting might have a detrimental effect on the perception of my worth as I work in a progressive, highly technical line of work populated with Gen-Xrs.

There's so much fallout to being heavy.
