I recommend low carb. And only cooking whole foods.
Everyone is different but low carb, no sugar has helped me to lose 38 pounds in 7 months. I recommend cutting out white bread, white potatoes, any crackers or chips, rice and processed pasta for now.
Also, I ate at a calorie deficit. And stopped my snacking. Strength training w dumbbells has also helped.
