About 2/3 of a cup. I just went and measured per the serving spoon I used. If you serve with a salad or veggies I would do less. I just had that and a cup of brown rice.

Hmm....fabric softener and water...sounds like it would make it easier!

It helps, I'm down to the stubborn parts. I'm trying not to damage the vinyl wallpaper underneath so I can paint over it. From experience I do not want to find out what's under it. Slow going.

Sounds quite delicious! What kind of bread did you make?

My usual, stone ground whole wheat with flax seeds and sunflower seeds. It's shared in my cookbook as updated whole wheat. The other one there s awful, the first recipe I put in not realizing once you share you cannot update, I had tried using spends, not good.

You amaze me. I never feel like starting any big projects during the weekend. Got any energy to spare?

WFN is quite an active little thing! That must be what happens when you reach your goal. Energy to spare. Awesome! I love homemade bread. Your bread sounds so good and I bet it was really good with the bean dishes.

Buffy this is an on going project, just continues.... still have about 1/4 of the border to finish, the glue is a b&%$&%h. Just prep to finally paint my kitchen. Painting will be faster than the prep. Never enough time to get much done after work. Mom, Bread is just a weekly thing only takes a few minutes here and there. I do not like store bread.

WFN: I love the energy and focus you have to get things done. Does fabric softener really work to get the wall paper off? I have borders to remove from my daughter's room so that it can get painted by Spring. Right now I do not have the energy or inclination but it is on my "to do" list.

I have heavy vinyl border on top of vinyl wallpaper. Trying to save the wallpaper underneath to paint over.
The border is peeling on the edges that mostly peels off easily leaving the paper backing and the glue. Just hot water wasn't helping much. I tried it and it is helping. I found I needed hot soapy water for the glue. I'm going to try adding some dish soap and see if that works better this weekend. It seems to be taking forever.

My painters painted over some vinyl wallpaper (it was like a second skin on the wall) and it looks so good .... it would have cost an arm and leg to remove it in the hallway because of the very high walls (up 2 stories). They had to put a primer on the wallpaper to ensure that the paint would adhere properly and last long. They even patched areas where the wall paper was dinged by furniture. I was very pleased with the outcome.

Awesome!1 I'm planning a 1st coat of Kilz just in case then the paint. it has a little texture so it should look good, the wallpaper only has one tiny loose place in it that I've found. I think some glue will fix it.

You all are doing something I would be terrified to do. Paint over wallpaper. Glad to hear it's working.

I painted over my bedroom wallpaper, it worked well, it's not heavy vinyl. My dining room has awful walls under the 8 layers of paper, am going to put up paintable wallpaper after the kitchen. That was enough to discourage me from stripping the rest of the house. It's been sitting there half stripped for awhile looking awful while I figured out a plan.

Wish I'd known this 30 years ago when I stripped a whole house. Good job.
