It's time for me to take the training wheels off and stop tracking my food on FS. If I need to go back to tracking, I will, but my goal had been to learn how to eat best for health and nutrition, and I think (I hope) I've learned. I'm still going to use the Dr. Greger's Daily Dozen app to remind myself to get adequate servings of beans, veg, etc. Still, it's time to see if I can eat more intuitively. I'll probably still be hanging out on FS some for the meal ideas and because I like y'all 😊

Since my husband does the dishes, he's thrilled I won't be dirtying as many measuring cups 😜

I never track because it makes me obsessive, but it’s a good tool to learn portion control. I also use smaller plates and cute ramekins for dense foods. You will be fine; most of your diet is whole food and lower calorie. Congratulations on graduating from measuring, Wyo! 👩🏼‍🎓🥂

I wouldn't congratulate me just yet, JustBananas 😉 Let's see if I succeed with it first! I've said all along that I didn't want to do anything to lose the weight that I wasn't willing to do to maintain the loss, so if I have to go back to tracking, I will. I think I'll be ok, though. The way I eat now keeps me full on a reasonable number of calories. I've learned what I need to do to get adequate protein and fiber -- the two things I was really paying most attention to. Over the past few months of tracking, I feel like I've really relearned how to eat, both in terms of food quality and portion control. Fingers crossed! 🤞
