So very sorry a stay in hospital was required for your son. So very glad he is better. Blessings on all three of you in the days ahead. And thank you for your kind and.gracious support. to ALL of us. :) 

PS: I know it shows what a truly CARING person you are that you are supporting US even from a hospital room. You are AMAZING !!! 

Nichol, glad your son is better. Flu can be serious business, especially when a little one is dehydrated. Thoughts are with you, also take care of yourself so you can take care of your kids. Hospital food is not usually the best, could not believe the stuff they were serving when my Mom was in the hospital often.  

I am glad to read that your son is doing better and will be home soon. Hopefully you are getting some rest and care, as well. Sending hugs and prayers your way. Truly, J.J.

Praying for you son, I hope he feels better soon. He sure has gone through alot the last few days. Keep us posted on how he is doing. 

A kid in the hospital is the worse thing. Please take care of yourself too. You're all in my thoughts.

Scary! Hopefully he just needed fluids? How is the rest of your family doing?  

He had a a bad flu, a kidney infection, and some serious constipation, the last 2 I am sure because of the extreme dehydration. Because of his hodge podge of symptoms first they had us in the isolation/ critical care unit( they never told me what they were so het up about) then they swore he had severe appendicitis and needed emergency surgery because his kidneys were having problems ( blood in his urine, etc). His regular pedi showed up and basically said get your hands off him and run full bolus.( IV) so after a few hours he was much much better. Because he is autistic he is not a very good patient so they let me bring him home with medical equipment and nurses.We are an poop duty for the next 3 days. Miralax three times a day for three days. Then he goes back Monday and she decides were we go from there. He got WAY too used to cute nurses running for him I am telling you.  

Basically we ran out so I threw my credit card at my older boys and said watch the baby. They had a serious video game, bacon, jalepeno, buffalo chicken pizza fest. You cannot believe how much they destroyed my house in 3 days. I walked in last night and they all turned to me and said,"oh you're home" and turned back to the game. boys..... 

I'm glad your doc showed up and threw on the brakes for whatever they in their heads. A seriously ill fellow. Glad things are going well as they can. Are you taking care of yourself a little now? For all you and the little guy went through, you managed to give me a smile with your last post. "OH, you're home". Can't get huffy at them... we all did the same thing. (het up--- OMG haven't heard that in decades; my FIL'S favorite saying).  

het up is a thing? Lmao you threw a credit card at boys and left them alone. I can believe it. Sounds like a fun time to me.  

I don't want you credit card bill!!! Glad the pedi stepped in, sometimes those docs can get carried away and go for extreme rather than a more conservative approach.
