My mom is not happy. I can't keep to any diet program. I had the discipline when I dropped everything in 2004. I started on my own. I had my wife too, who cheered my way of starting, and .

According to the site, I was working out at a 6 day pace. I did no cardio, but did a lot of strength training. It sprinkled cardio about twice a week. When I was ready for the next phase of the weight loss, I lifted heavier weights (could not make it past 25 pounds on the bench) But to the leg press I got to 400 pounds.

I kept focused. I was ready for the next phase, so I changed the parameters on the Personal Trainer. I added the Abs Diet, and turned over to 5k training.

I wanted to do the 10k and the Half Marathon training, but it was too soon. It would take 6 weeks to get in shape for the 5k. I never made it to the running phase.

My upper body is too heavy now for the running. We have the elliptical. I need to set up another schedule. One, I need to deal with the issues that hold me back, like the schizophrenia, but it seems to be once a month. I can do that. It just takes discipline. My new psychologist will help me get back on track.

I've been sitting for way too long. I need to work on my knees. My knees are weak. So that's the second thing I need to address. I am going to try to get Bowflex weight machine, with a leg press. It'll cost about 4K. maybe 5 grand. Because the additional Weights are 2961 dollars. So... with everything I would use, I would have to fork out 8000 dollars. The Xtreme 2 SE, is only 1000 dollars.

We'll see. Instead of buying more equipment, I will use our current setup. Recumbent Bike, Elliptical, and Weight Machine until I max them out.

Would it not be cool that if I get the goal of getting the money for it?

Save some money and just spend $1500 on a decent treadmill. Walk every day. Slowly increase the incline and speed. Don't worry about running. It is not good for your knees, especially when you have a lot of extra weight. Male marathon runners are 130lbs. If you want to do weights as well, start low and go slow. Your joints and tendons will suffer if you don't.

The UDaddy has the right idea... start small... shopping is addictive just like food can be. You can love yourself the way you are while on this journey. Loving yourself can mean taking the time to treat your body with consideration and compassion while working to gently improve it's functionality. ❤️‍🔥

The weight machine is next to the elliptical, which is next to the bike. My knees hurt when I ride it. It's been hurting my knees. I am trying to get started, but you are right, I have not been treating myself. I have just been sitting here in front of the computer. I agree with you both. I need to teach myself how to love myself again. I've hated myself ever since my divorce, and the schizophrenia diagnosis. I need to get through things. My psychiatrist has been trying to get me in with a therapist. I have an appointment in December.
