226 this morning...an even 7 lbs gone since starting this journey on June 29th. So far, so good. I think calorie counting is working much better for me than South Beach did. Oh, I had good results on South Beach, but it was a lot of work, and a lot of feeling deprived. I'm not depriving myself this time around...I try to make the healthy choices, but I can have an indulgence here and there without it derailing all my efforts. If I wanted to blow my entire daily allowance on a big mac and fries...I could...but I know that's all I would have all day and I'd be hating myself later. But still, I'm free to have it if I choose. lol It's a mind thing, but that's the key to this journey for me, mindset.
Today will be a busy day for me, and I'm not sure I'll be able to fit in my elliptical time, though I'm surely going to try. I'm having lowfat nutrigrain waffles for breakfast (with sugar free syrup, I finally found one I like!), turkey bacon and an egg. For lunch, a whole wheat pita bread pizza w/salad, and dinner will be some type of chicken that I cook in the crockpot all day while I'm doing other things (thinking teriyaki chicken tenders, made with lite soy sauce, splenda, and seasonings). Feel like I need a lot of water today.
