Up since 4.30. Anxiety woke me up and then I tweaked my neck and it's now 6 am and I am trying to get out of bed-damn laptops! and go for a long run so all is not lost. Eye appt. was so-so. Working on correcting my vision to a point where I am functional. Hard to see thing in near and mid distance, which kind of matters for reading and working. I'd make a good loookout or sentry though-my far vision is excellent. Retina is still attached and apart from stroke, the doc has no idea why I have blurry vision. VERY reassuring. Did get a prescription for eye drops to help with allergy attacks. Not sure if I want to use them though-more meds? Really?No call back from my GI-what the 'ell? It's not a routine check-up-hello? I have issues! Endocrinologist is scheduled for Sept-earliest appt. "because it's a specialist"-what? I've run out of meds so I will really need a "specialist" by Sept.
Moving this weekend-the office and worried if I did the right thing-getting an office space. Trying to stay optimistic and realistic at the same time is hard sometimes.
No weight loss still. I have no clue why running 5 days a week and eating a well balanced diet full of veggies, protein, no refined anything means NOTHING.

Okay I did make chocolate cupcakes on Sunday-no fat eggs and splenda, applesauce and 1/2 stick butter. I ate two and froze the rest. So sue me!

Sounds like you're having a rough morning! (((((hugs))))) Sorry you're having to deal with so many worrisome health issues. I hope you get some relief soon! Your cupcakes sound wonderful - no lawsuits from me! Even if you aren't losing weight, you are hammering in those healthy habits. That's a good thing! I'm sure the scale will cooperate eventually. Hang in there!

OH JEEZ what a morning. Maybe stop focusing on losing and work out those health issues first?? IDK. Doesn't medication sometimes keep you from losing? Not necessarily making you gain. Figure out which meds you can do without, and then reevalute your foods and work outs. Man, no matter what you put in cup cakes... chocolate cupcakes always sound appealing lol! I think getting an office will be good for you. I love getting out of my house, even if its for work!

You have a full plate, gf if I ever saw one. Make sure to find some time to treat yourself too (ie. relaxing bath, do nails, a little retail therapy like a cute pen/highlighter). How much are you running and how long? Have a heart rate monitor helps me know weather or not I'm in my fat burning/cardio max range (140-150s). I make sure I run fast enough to be in that heart beat range and for at least 20 mins. I crank it up a notch by running even faster (high interval spurts) every 7-8 min for 2-3 min long (HR goes in the 160's but it's for a short time and those extra spurts really helps burn the calories, I think). Oh! forgot, also if you have 10 -15 extra min add wt training into the mix 3X a wk. Building muscle will burn calories even while you're doing nothing. FYI: doing any type of lunges really brings up the heart rate too...can do both cardio and wt training all in one if you do 10 min of front, side, back lunges. Yewozers!

My oh my! Step back and take a deep breath, Girlfriend! I must agree with Cindyshine that you should concentrate on your health issues first and foremost. Give your new office space a chance. Might be the best decision you ever made! And please keep hanging in there with the well-balanced diet because you WILL get results sooner or later. Really, you will!!! Save me one of those cupcakes, will ya??????? :-)

Thanks everyone-you are the best! Feeling very tired but good-went for a long run this am. Came back and called the client that I was anxious about and feel much more positive about getting more work from them. Julie-I am getting me a heart monitor-I think it will help me KNOW that I am getting a good workout for my heart. Lungeapalooza is an almost daily event in my world. I used to really be bad at them but after a 18 mos of practice-I am pretty darn good. I even do them in public. I still hide in the bushes to do Sumo squats though-people probably think I am peeing!, lol. They have helped me with balance and my creaky hips. I also do weight training-just don't talk about it very much. With the office move-I am going back to the gym-I literally will be running past it on my way to office so I am looking forward to machine lifting. Onward and upward!
