OTB you are right and it comes back fast! Ok I expect to see a workout post tomorrow from you. My first one back I could not even roll out on the foam roller I was so exhausted. 🤣

Will do ! I Start phase 2 of my lifting program which is a few different exercises and a different rep range then I had been doing the previous 3 weeks.

Diana- it is so hard to have an injury that prevents you from doing what keeps you strong. I hope it heals fast and yes anything counts do keep working on the things you can. 💯💯

when you do all that, makes it easier for me to get me to do the 30# squats and deadlifts I do. you got me aspiring to level up at 71!

these days I just squat / DL / bench. and I guess one my quad stretches is like a lunge, but deeper and unweighted. I’ve done them in the past but it’s been years…

Sharon good for you and I want to be able to continue doing squats and deadlifts at 71 too. That is awesome and I sure you are able to get around better than other's you know that are the same age.

John - my trainer has me focus on squats, deadlifts and presses too. I pretty much follow the same workouts every week except for different weights and reps are alternated and he progressively moves me up on weight or reps or both. I am just happy to have found strength training because it has improved my health 100%

HI RPL, for the recap, leg day is done. I finished with some leg lifts for abs (which I'm prone to skip) using the dip machine at the gym. I'm with you, where I think my form could always use improvement. I'm going to look over a video or two on the lunges. I think dumbbell lunges are one of those exercises where proper form is slightly different for men and women. BTWs, before I do legs, I take 10 minutes or so and do a set of 5 hip stretches I found online years ago (Link: https://www.stretching-exercises-guide.com/hip-stretches.html) . Sometimes I'll add in an iliotibial band stretch. Then I do deep hamstring stretches three different ways for 20-30 seconds each...for the TRIFECTA: strength, stamina, and flexibility!

GoalOnederLand-Awesome workout and getting leg day done! I really have to think of my form when doing lunges and make sure my front foot never lifts off the ground and keep my back straight. I will check out the stretching exercises because I could use some more of those! Thanks for the info!
