The weekend has been great so far. After staying up way too late with folks over on Friday night, I did not spring out of bed and get to the gym on Saturday morning. After some coffee, I opted to be outside instead, taking the dog out for a walk. Rather than just our normal walk, we went to the trailhead at the nearby park and hiked up and down a mountain. I felt so good and strong and set a brisk pace as we climbed. My poor dog slept all afternoon!
I had a pleasant afternoon with my daughter. She taught me how to make a bracelet on her rainbow loom, helping me with the tricky bits. Then, she helped me work on the place mats that I started sewing yesterday. The boys had gone mountain biking and got back very late, pushing dinner back and back. I am not used to eating dinner at 9:30! It was yummy and I managed not to eat everything in sight, but I think we will try to keep dinner at a more reasonable time!
