I only got about 20 minutes of kayaking in. :) Oh well. Rain will come in Florida. My son tried his new kayak today and he hates it! I knew he would but this summer is about physical activity and keeping active. But knowing he would hate it I brought him an inflatable kayak. (I run a tackle shop and can order wholesale) For under a hundred dollars he got a kayak that can hold up to 400lbs. I didn't get him the chintzy one but not the best one either. So unless I can find another kayak like mine for as cheap (traded for fishing stuff) the inflatable will work fine. Plus hubby and I can take turns on it also. I got a few minutes in on mine and a few minutes in on his.

He'll be doing HOPE online this summer for school. Florida now requires one online class to graduate. They make the kids wear a fitness tracker to complete the physical activities. I just hope we can use a different one then the one they want. They want a MOVBand and I haven't seen a lot of good reviews for them. For just a little more I can get him a refurbished garmin wristband one. I already know the garmin is waterproofed enough for what we do.

I have a garmin vivofit wristband. I don't even take it off to shower. I did take it off to spray paint today so my steps are off a little I like it and the tracking website is great. I use google chrome as a browser usually but had to download the garmin Express software on FIrefox browser because chrome did not support the DL. Weird but the website works fine in Chrome. I love my Garmin!

I love my vivofit 2. It stays on for everything including kayaking in saltwater. I just rinse it afterwards to get the salt off. I wouldn't trade it for anything. I was going to get a fitbit but it wouldn't work for kayaking. They have a watch garmin one that's perfect for my son. It's on amazon refurbished for a reasonable price.
