thank you for sharing. I am getting into weight training--is it typically 7 types of exercises with three reps 3-4x/week.

@SG- Thsnks! I usually eat a banana before workout but did not have any today and I was running on fumes at the end of my workout and pulling the reserves. 🤣 Not doing that again!

Yes having energy for a full workout is much more enjoyable and beneficial than lacking the energy

Nice! I assume mid-rep is not going to max weight capacity for the reps in the exercises. Please do keep posting your workouts - motivates me to keep trying.

@CG- Thanks! My trainer uses the basics and progressively pushes me. I love that it is all planned out and I just show up and do the work.

@Sharon- you are correct. I just came off a week of the heaviest weights I can handle so now he will push me on less weight but more reps. He will still push to failure or close to it for a week. Then I go to even less weights with a lot of reps for a week. Then back to heavy. Each cycle pushes me either on weights or reps.

@bandri- my only goal is to be toned and keep the weight off as I age so I only strength train 3x a week. No cardio for me as my trainer states that I don’t need to and he said too much cardio could sacrifice muscle. I am ok with his approach because I hate cardio. That is why I never was successful until I got in this program. I know this doesn’t work for everyone.
