@Suze— NSV is a favorite acronym on FS, and I’m sure you’ll be experiencing a few of your own soon 💚🏆

What kinda plants are those? I actually LOVE black licorice and would absolutely plant these in a garden! 💖

@Cyrus: It is one big mystery as to what this flowering bush is called. But it's everywhere, and in the past I would cross the street to avoid it. It doesn't go in the garden, but rather lines your property in place of a fence.

Resembles Baby’s Breath. I’m sure you are happy about losing the allergy!

@Tom: I would always break down and buy allergy pills. I think I’ve just cleared out all the inflammation in my body, so it can handle this invader now. The hedge is very strong smelling.

I think it is a wax leaf privet hedge. they are common in coastal areas where people use as a landscape hedge.

there is also a wavy leaf privet where the foliage is a little different than the other one I mentioned...I like a plant mystery.

@Honee: I think you may be right, though this variety doesn’t finish with dark berries later on (that I recall). The pollen is fierce. I walk everywhere so I’m relieved that it’s no longer bothering me.

The privets are a +10 on the allergy scale and they have a very noxious offensive smell. The only thing worse than allergies is the side effects from the OTC medications. Stay well !!

Beautiful way to take care of you! Must be a lovely walk now.

@Wubba and @Honee: It's a wonderful walk now, and the best part is that it's on the way to buy the fresh, organic produce that prevents the allergy in the first place!

I think I’m blessed with a strong immunity. Never been allergic to anything, been food poisoned like twice in my life. Either that or I grew up barefooted and went dumpster diving for cans to recycle into quarters for arcade and candy money 🤔

If I could just snap a close-up of the bush... I could run it through my plant identifier app and solve the mystery once and for all. I'd imagine it's super nice for local pollinators with all those flowers too! ☺️

@Otb: eating clean is the only change I've made, so I have to assume that's the ticket. Dunno about you, but I do not like having a red, raw nose for 2 weeks.🦌 @Super: Allergic to Kryptonite, perhaps? Wait, you never dug around the seats of unlocked cars for change? There might even be bonus candy on the car floors 😋🍬 @Cyrus: it's a wavy leaf privet.

😂 I only wish! Car rides were scarce. We were pretty poor so no loose change anywhere. Those were the days when a penny meant something... sour patches was a penny each! Buying a quarters worth would make you the popular kid. I remembered when the drug dealers moved in next door they would give us a dollar so we’d stop breaking into their house and raid their fridge. And I bought 100 sour patches. I ate it good. Happy days

@Super: Oh, I didn't mean scavenging your friends' & family's vehicles, I meant breaking into everyone else's car parked innocently in your neighborhood.😁 Stealing food from drug dealers is very...er...brave(?), but I'm glad to hear you worked the situation to your advantage!
