As quickly as it came, the grumpy mood went away. Woke up to the sun rising and even though there is still a haze, the sun is breaking through. My littles were particularly perky this morning too. When they noticed me waking up all three were yay, love me, love me, bouncing around, tails a waggin on the bed. Their love tanks empty overnight I think. Only challenge with 3 is I need another hand, two doesn't cut it.

This growing season has been insane. Despite the drought, the established plants are blooming like they haven't in years past (will post a pic of one of the Weigelas later today as it is glorious). Even the silver maple trees in front of the house have sent exponentially more keys than I've seen since I've moved here.

I know this site is for helping people with food intake, and I use it for that, however this journal is the outlet that keeps me focused on other things that feed my soul and remind me that food is fuel. Not a reward, not a comfort, not a replacement for that which is lacking elsewhere in my life. Mentally it is a huge shift to make as food noise for me is real. Distract, distract, distract.
