Memory jog. I used to make a layered ricotta strawberry parfait . I’m going to check around and see if I have an actual recipe for it or if I just did it on the fly. I like ricotta too. Thanks for the post. I don’t think I have ever had cannoli

Kenna- if you do find that recipe, please share it with me. I’ll keep it a secret 🤫 . Also, you must try a cannoli at least once. The contrast between the smooth ricotta and the taquito / cookie is what keeps me coming back for these. 

Cheese- We eat with our eyes first. This one was calling for me through the display case. Luckily I heard and came to its rescue.

I seldom come across places that make these fresh so it’s always a treat when I find one. 

Yum! I may have to eat a protein pancake with plain yogurt and fruit after seeing that! 🤪 

There used to be this little Italian bakery in New Orleans, just down, to the right of the Cathedral, that made the best cannoli! I have no idea whether it's still there or not, that was years ago. 

It brings back memories for me too. My first post-college apartment was a fourth floor walk up on Mulberry St. in Little Italy, NYC. The Italian bakery on the corner was the real deal. 

Shirfleur- Do you remember the name of the bakery? You should check to see if they are still around. It’s always sad to see a business go. There’s a bakery that’s been serving the neighborhood I live in since 1911. Always got my cakes and small party treats from there. Hands down best spot around. Hope you have little gems like this in the community where you live. 

Erika- Little Italy? Desserts galore?! Italians have so many desserts; I want to try them all but always end up with a cannoli 😁😁 

ajbusjahn- They go where I go. You know how it is. Sun’s out, guns out ☀️💪😎. Don’t worry about the cannoli. It was taken care of 🫢 

Looks amazing! There’s a place near Seattle that looks like a little drive thru coffee stand…BUT! It’s cannolis!!!! You choose your filling flavor and topping….mmmmmm! So good!
