My wife buys the groceries. I want to eat healthy. My wife says, "it is so expensive to buy healthy food and pay for gym memberships". I reminded her of how much a doctor visit costs and a hospital stay costs. What is cheaper, doctors or healthy living? Paying a person to help, or being healthy/fit enough to do things for yourself? Groceries and gyms are dirt cheap in comparison.

The ability to master portion control and moderation is perfect for dealing with the price of groceries. You are not eating the AMOUNT of food you might have been eating and you have an opportunity to spend your food dollars on things that are nutritionally better for you and fewer items that fall into the fast food and junk food categories.

Welcome back!!!!
I’ve done the same many times!! Wink wink 😉.
I’m hopeful I learned not to quit on myself and my health. I’m in it for new and permanent habits of tracking and taking care of this one body we get.

Been back at the starting line many times. It’s hard to get back in the groove. I wish I had good advice for you, but all I can say is if you go off the rails, try to get back on track asap. Never fail 2 days in a row….easier said than done. You know the drill, now execute it.

Welcome back. Previously when I stopped tracking, I gained weight again. I lost 70 lbs so far in one year this time. Previously I lost lots of weight too but gained it back. when I stopped keeping track. Developing heart disease and experiencing shortness of breath became a powerful motivator to get serious about staying fit. I'm feeling much better now. Yesterday I spent two hours in the gym, then I biked on the road on hilly terrain for 70 kilometres (I'm Canadian) Let's not wait until we're sick on the inside before we take care of ourselves. Good luck!

Welcome back! I’m right there with you. Stopped tracking and gained a bunch of weight. You can do this! As others have said, eating healthy is less expensive in the long run!

I follow the adds to find chicken breast ! I once told my doctor for me eating healthy foods is expensive for me we went back and forth because he disagreed. I said, I’m not on a doctors salary like your self and he had no comment!

Welcome back ~ I’ve had those moments and can relate. Groceries are expensive and I’ve been budgeting to have a certain amount of money put aside each week for groceries. It has helped because I prioritized quality food for me and my husband; although, we do shop at a market that’s known to be less expensive than the other nearby grocery stores. It make a difference.

I can't get off the hamster wheel either. Why can't pizza and margaritas be healthy and low cal?🤷♀️ 😫
