Well I got a great birthday surprise yesterday, my Mom and sister came to visit me from Washington. It was so nice to see both of them it had been almost 3 months since our last visit. So I truly took advantage of their company. I ate fairly well with only one small slip up which I was in the mind set of, it is my birthday I will do what I want. So I can handle that and move on. I got right back on track this morning with a healthy breakfast and a trip to one of our local markets. I love it in there. I was able to stock up on lentils, split peas, spelt, flax seeds and other beans and grains. I also bought some whole wheat pastas and lots of veggies. I am going to make a big batch of lentil soup tomorrow and that will be my lunches for the next week, all I will have to do is add some cut veggies or a salad and I will be all set. I am hoping all the preparedness will make a big difference on the scale. I think that it really will. Well good luck to all of you this week.
