Kayaking today before it started raining. It was pretty funny when I started asking the manatees not to tip my kayak.

Love the pics. I used to live in Cape Coral and the manatees would come up to our boat dock for lettuce treats. Miss them....

My favorite fishing spot is full of manatees in the winter. We have to push them back from us otherwise they get in your way. I love how they let you pet them. This one went under my kayak at least three times. I did not want to swim with them today and thankfully didn't.

I had one once decide I had to go in the water with it. Needless to say I went in the water. When a 800 to 2000 lb sea cow wants you in the water, you go in the water. That was years ago and in a small row boat. These were young adults mostly, maybe 5 to 600 lbs. Not full grown adults and not calves. Sweet mammals though.
