Stopping at the doctor to get my arm looked at. Seems I may have torn a bicep tendon. I wasn't even lifting weights, go figure. I gave my wife a hug and squeezed....POP!.....now I cant lift anything over 5 pounds without unbearable pain in my right elbow and forearm. May have to freeze my gym membership if the doc says no weight training for a while.

Funny how I lift a ton of weight at the gym and never injure myself outside of some occasional tendonitis...now I hug my wife and I pop a tendon. what the heck, man?

Maybe your arms just aren't as used to that motion and you need to hug your wife more :P

Must have been some hug. Look after it. Don't rush it. Maybe the wife could go to the gym with you and lift stuff for you? It would keep you in the routine of going to the gym.

initially I thought the pop was my wife's eyes popping out of their sockets, but she was fine. :)

It can be very weird how some injuries happen. Could be you'd strained it doing other things and the position and motion of hugging your wife finished it off? Hope it heals up quick. Next time my wife says I don't hug her enough I'll have to tell her how it can be hazardous to my health. Although telling her that would more than likely be what is most hazardous. :)

Isn't that the truth? Most days I'm sanding, painting and moving furniture. The week I don't do any of that I get severe shoulder pain!

I turned off my lawnmower once, flipped it on it`s side to clean out the grass from underneath and spent 3 days on my living room floor. It never seems to make sense when it happens.

Ouch, Buddy! Definitely rest that if it is a tendon - they take along time to heal. OMG, you may have to do cardio instead! Goodness!
