Good morning FS friends,
Heading out in an hour for round two of carpal tunnel surgery right hand, and suture removal on the left. Even though I know exactly what to expect. I'm always a bit anxious prior to. Getting those last minute tasks done now as I will have minimal use of the right hand for at least 9 days.
It just dawned on me that at Christmas dinner at my friends, I'll need to ask someone to cut up my turkey and any larger sides. Last go round post surgery I used my fingers to pick up what I was eating, but in private with nobody looking, who cares about the caveman style. In public. Yikes. No can do.
Small price to pay for long term pain relief.

Oh dear, you're in the wars too. Physically, not mentally. But you will get through this. Times are difficult, especially when you've lost two husbands.. losing one is bad enough. The pain, as you will well know, is awful. Time heals, I know. But you can not predict when. Much ❤️ Merry Mel 😍

Thank you all for the well wishes. It was another quick one at 2min 16seconds. Local anaesthetic injection was less painful, the nerve test more painful and the swelling now more than the first go round. Heading back to bed to elevate arm as directed. Thank heavens for Netflix, cheesy Christmas romcoms,naps and my darling furbabies cuddled in. Otherwise it would be a stellarly boring 48 hours.
