I live in a very rural area and drivers here are at neanderthal level. Not sure what the police do here now but it isn't traffic control. We seldom see a cruiser. I heard one woman in the grocery store griping because she got hundreds of dollars worth of tickets. We saw her get pulled over. She was driving like a bat out of Hades, no seat belt, weaving through traffic. They searched her vehicle and she was incensed that they would consider her a problem. People who risk the lives of others through their poor driving habits are a problem.
