So it's New Year's Eve, and hubby & I will be going to visit friends that throw a party every year. There'll be tons of food & dessert, and I've tried to restrain myself in the past but usually don't succeed. That's okay, as I'm trying to refocus on health & weight loss again. I've kind of had it with making New Year's Resolutions, because they usually revolve around weight loss & I'm clearly not good at achieving/maintaining that sort of thing, but I'll probably try again anyway with the ol' "lose 10 lbs by my birthday" goal (3/20). But I have some other hopes and goals as well. My biggest hope is to move to Hawaii in 2024. We've bought land & are contracting with a building supplier & contractor, so it's in the works, but so much of that will be out of my hands that I can't really make it a "goal." But I do have some goals that are totally within my ability to accomplish:

1. Self-publish my 4th book, hopefully around Valentine's day, and
2. Start teaching some group fitness classes FINALLY!

I've got some certifications for Silver Sneakers Classic and Pilates, plus I'm currently working for the YMCA part-time in Member Services. Not exactly the kind of work I wanted to be doing, but I've talked to the Director & he's on board with me branching into Group Fitness. I just really need to get off my butt & get it done!
