So by the time I figured out that I eat more than 1400 calories per day, but less than 1900, I still managed to lose half a pound. I will celebrate that half pound weight loss because it felt good to lose even that small amount. My body thought I was starving it because I was only eating 1 meal a day. Why? Because I was busy raising kids and they needed to eat more than I did. I ate supper with them, but skipped out on breakfast and lunch. Now I’m having a protein shake for breakfast, a sandwich or leftovers from dinner for lunch and eating supper. Sometimes I get to have a couple of those Caramel Delight Girl Scout cookies for dessert! Not often though. It’s all good - as long as I keep losing weight. I’d like to get down to 130 pounds, but I know it won’t happen overnight. I didn’t gain all my weight overnight either - it took 9 months to gain for each baby and I had 4 of them. This too shall pass.
