Well my good friends, since I wrote last at the end of 2022, a lot has happened. I ended up with a collapsed Vertebrate L4 onto L5. a blood clots in the lungs and between July and December I had a total of 5 spine surgeries. now that I am all done and the journey to begin my physical abilities to what it used to be. and be ready to walk my daughter down the aisle at the wedding in 2 months. in the meantime, my weight went to as high as 321 and finally dropped to 277. It will be great to lose some 20 pounds more by mid April. I also modified my intake to 2400 calories a day and 26% of that is protein and a continuous glucose monitor that helped me regulate what and how I eat. the biggest is to combine protein with carbs and veggies specifically eating protein 1st.

I feel like I was with you through all that; it was so similar to the constant barrage of health hurdles my mom went through. I know what super extraordinary strength you had to dig to find just to pull through this and I'm very proud of and happy for you. Today's my first day back to this app and I'm borrowing from your experience to find that strength for my own goals. Keep going!

So sorry to hear what you've been going through. I must say though your coming back from this your walking, your weight loss is sooooo impressive! If you can lose the 20 lbs before the wedding that will be good for you, but I'm sure your daughter is thrilled you will be walking her down the aisle at any weight. Amazing!

Well best wishes for success on your goal. We seem to share similar challenges health-wise but I'm SO tickled with one of life's happy accidents. I've been on Trulicity for a few years and was 'well controlled' T2DM with this, A1C 6-6.2. I want to reach non-diabetic status, not just control it. I've been off the med for about 3 weeks because of the shortage. I simply could not find a pharmacy with any in stock and they don't expect any till end of the month. I'm doing a metabolism reset program that is not all that different how I was eating for several months. Only going into week 3 and my FBS is now better than when on the med. Yeah, I have neurosurgery consult, again, post MRIs coming up and I want to be a healthier weight for the possible surgeries. And even if no surgery. My endocrinologist is happy with me being in 'the sweet spot for control' but I'm not settling on having to take a med if I can make that unnecessary. I'm glad the med is out of stock in my case; sorry for the folks who really are depending on it though.
