Ok guys! Quest bars....they say 4 net carbs on the ones I chose but when entered into my food diary they say 7 or 8 carbs each! Do you count them as 4 or the larger amount?

The idea is to subtract fiber (and artificial sugars) from total carbs which leaves you with net. I'm guessing that you didn't get much of a response because a lot of people don't do bars and such, but rather get their nutrition from "real" foods.

Total carbs less fiber I believe is the recipe for working out net carbs, I get the carbless delights by horleys they are great when you need food when your out and about that's not a burger and want to eat a person x

FatSecret posts total carbs I believe, so you need to do the subtraction yourself. I don't personal use bars of any kind, but I guess if in a hurry to go somewhere they would be a good item to grab-n-go. I wouldn't eat them all the time though. Would rather get my carbs from vegetables.

so some research,I LOVE QUEST BARS but the whole "net carbs" from their advertising is being challenged ie:lawsuit as the fiber is soluable corn fiber, or IMOs and thusly during testing the fiber is overstated by 50%, and on top of that, the total calorie analysis is possibly double what is stated on the package. so testing is being done and a lawsuit is filed. check it out.
