Dissapointed but not surprised that I have gained 3 lbs over the holidays. It is amazing as someone said before how quickly weight piles on and how long it takes to get off. So what am I to do? Pick up what worked before. My goal is to lose these 3 pounds in two weeks. I should be able to reach my target by March. I will have lost 26 pounds and I look forward to that.
Track every food morsel.
Weigh daily.
Get in 8 to 10 cups water daily.
Exercise after every meal.
Allow nothing except water to pass through my lips after an early by 5pm supper.
Arise early and get the day started. Sometimes my breakfast is late and then I eat double calories in one meal. Have 3 smaller caloric meals, so that my tummy and mind will relearn to be satisfied on 400 calories or so a meal.
Just leave the sweets alone! ( except the rest of the fruitcake cookies that I made) 😂
Prayer and trust in God.

Blessings and and great willpower for all of my buddies! The weather is tornado iffy here in Alabama. Be safe wherever you are.

Yeah, it's so easy to gain it back. I have noticed that a lot of us are in holiday recovery, including me...

I bet it comes off sooner than you think -- I dropped 2 out of a 3-lbs. holiday gain in just a week and that was a week when there was still some 'misbehavin' going on . . . sounds like you have a solid plan in place to get right back on track and reach your goal well ahead of spring . . . Blessings and well-being to you, too!

Thanks Johan and Losinit! Yes, I think many of us have catch up to do.

Holidays can ba minefield to get us off track. Hang in there, you are not alone; we all slip and fall; the important thing is to get back up and get moving forward!

I am reading you former posts and celebrating your diet record! You seem to be very reasonable about your recovery plan especially the part about finishing off those fruitcake cookies! Just not all at once. I made some gingerbread cookies that I am mete-ing out to myself - each one with anticipation and appreciated. I think all our meals should be eaten this way huh? I'm sure you will be where you want to be in no time.. Blessings.

Trimmer55, we are in agreement, especially on those cookies! Speaking of mete-ing them out, I slice mine (made in a muffin pan) and totally savor each bite! And you are so right. Each meal should be savored. At this point in my life I do not try to save food. I would rather use my caloric allowance for tasty food. Sometimes I will get perhaps a piece of fruit and after one bite, find that it is past its peak. Formerly, I would just eat it, now I toss it. All the best!
