Do you just put the whole bulb in the vinegar without peeling or peel and pickle the cloves. I have not heard of purple garlic. Let us know how the planting/growing goes. Very nice legacy

@Kenna - You peel the cloves and then put them in the vinegar…I’m told they stay fresh for a long time if you store them this way in the fridge. (And you just use vinegar so they don’t have a salty pickled taste.)

What a sweet note from you dad... Call him even if you don't need the garlic instructions... My dad's been gone since 1989..Just 77yrs.. cancer.. Sure miss him and wished that I had called him more often...

Update! Talked with my Dad yesterday morning and he shared a couple of important things…he said that I should heat the vinegar to almost boiling before pouring in the jar with the peeled garlic cloves. He also advised using a plastic lid instead of the typical canning jar lid because the vinegar causes a reaction with the metal. Noted! ✅
