Well when you switch from low carb to adding carbs back in, you may see an initial gain. It doesn't mean counting calories won't work. Low carb (high protein) pushes water out of cells and carbs take it in. So find a good caloric intake for your age, height, activity level, sex, etc. How many you can eat and lose is an individual thing. I would slowly add carbs back in to your diet. Start by a piece of fruit and extra vegetable. If you just start eating a lot of carbs, you may see a big gain on the scale which could deter you. Good luck!
