SOMETIMES, YOU JUST NEED SOME BACON.

14 weeks in, 15 lbs. down, and I am beat. My body has begun to fight back and the lethargy has become unbearable.

Don't worry, I haven't given up, nor will I. Today, I just need to go off diet. That doesn't mean Ice cream cupcakes and cookies.. What it means is that I will not be sticking to my macro or calorie goals for today, nor will I be tracking my food here on FS. I started to plan the day today, and realized that I have felt pretty poorly for the past 2-3 weeks, my lifting sessions are suffering, my work is suffering, and my poor wife has had to put up with me being cranky every day.

SO! as I write this, I am eating a BACON egg and cheese sandwich.

Tonight's chest, shoulders, and triceps session at the gym is gonna rock!

I felt this way months ago when I was training MMA on 50g of net carbs a day. I felt like I was dying inside, Now I dont even count the carbs and I am eating just fine. I am probably about 80g-100g of carbs a day, give or take depending on what I am eating a particular day, But I weight train with a trainer 2-3 times a week and stay active on the days I am not lifitng. This range saved me. If it isnt your carbs try upping your calorie intake. Just listen to your body, if you are consistently tired, you are not getting enough energy somewhere

A bunch of people are posting that I should go low carb....I eat 150g or less per day (while dieting), and I'm an athlete....I'm pretty sure I'm already low carb.

No...you're not low carb, two things. 1. Low Carb is really anything less than 50gms of Net Carbs per day. 2. Your Protein intake is really high, and with 58% of Protein converted to Carbs...this is also boosting your carb intake numbers. Look to increase your good fat intake, 2x more energy load than protein and carbs that you're missing out on. As your weight-lifting, I prefer to be low-carb during the days and any nights i'm at the gym, have my carbs after lifting, not before..

You could lower your carbs. But you are kind of low carb if you compare your carb count to the normal SAD diet (Standard American Diet) SO yeah I consider myself on the lower end of the carb curb at around 80g ish. Try lowering them week by week and see how you feel
