Trapped at the office doing work. Had a peanut butter cookie for dinner (it was the only thing I could find in the office kitchen). No shame. It was delicious. Protein content was lower than I would have guessed. Which of course means I need to find a recipe for high protein pb cookies. Or maybe I'm just hungry and craving more cookies right now.

Im still at work too. :( But I don't get off till ten either. lol. I get off, go home and go straight to bed. It makes 16 hour fasting SUPER easy when you sleep through half of it. lol. And I eat high fat so I am not hungry when I go to bed. EASIEST way to fast EVER.

It happens. There's a recipe for '3 ingredient peanut butter cookies' rolling around the interwebs that I was making quite often before I started eating right. It was peanut butter, sugar and eggs. I'm sure you could swap out sugar for your fave sugar substitute and add in whey powder. I don't know how to do links in here, so google that sumbitch and see if it looks doable 😉

I want to and yet I don't wan to, lol! Some things I can't have around myself. Marginally healthy cookies should probably be on that list. I can barely handle almond butter hanging around in my pantry.... ugh. It just calls to me with its nutty deliciousness.

A good protein bar is MusclePharm combat crunch bars, I used to eat them daily years ago. The are rated as one of the best on Bodybuilding.com. Just a suggestion pack 1 or two with ya wherever you go and if ya need a snack cannot beat them in protein, low carb, low sugar, and gluten free. They also come in several flavors.

I understand completely. When I first started keeping my food down all I could stomach was no salt added peanut butter. One spoon at a time was all I could bare at the time without feeling the need to get rid of it. I went through a jar every 2 days. Once I got comfortable with food again I was eating everything and the spoons of pb turned onto an ass-ton of cookies. Peanut butter went from my savior to a dirty vice. Eventually I'm gonna have to work on my pb relationship and get it on a healthy level. I don't want to be scared of anything that my body will eventually turn into a turd. 💩 😂 It's definitely gonna be awhile before that happens though. Lol

lol!! I love that perspective. Yea, I will need to work on that too. There's just a whole slew of stuff I keep myself away from right now that I know will derail me. Eventually I'll re-introduce them back into my diet, but right now is not that time.

I used to keep a jar of PB in my desk drawer along with dry crackers for emergencies. That worked well but then, much as I love PB I'm immune to its siren call so it really was just emergencies when I cracked it open.
