TGIF buddies!! So glad this week is almost over. Work has been full of nonsense and long meetings. My entire project got derailed thanks to “consumer perception” once again trumping actual facts, so gotta change some ingredients. Blech.
Looking forward to this weekend. Should HOPEFULLY be getting a call that my new bike is in, then I get to figure out how to cram it into my mini cooper to go up north to visit my parents for mother’s day this weekend. Figured I can sneak in a ride or two in the mornings. The weather is supposed to be just gorgeous these next few days.
For mother’s day, I got my mom tickets to go tour the ship yards where they work on those giant ore ships that she’s just fascinated with. Then, later that day, going to her favorite restaurant, which also happens to be MY favorite restaurant :D It’s a little dive bar with 5-star cuisine. It’s loud, noisy, cramped, and only seats about 20 people, and the wait can be up to 3 hours, but it’s so worth it. We go, drop off our phone number, and go to another local bar and wait for them to give us a call. They don’t have a set menu, but rather a chalkboard with items they were able to get really good and fresh, so it’s easy to ask for something customized, or just completely off-menu. Very much looking forward to it.
