TGIF!! Just beginning my journey since the doc told me I am prediabetic. Now trying to prevent it by starting a healthy lifestyle for better eating habits and purchasing healthier produce and groceries and preparing healthier meals. First day of exercise was walking from the 10th floor down to the first floor and then walking back up from the 1st floor to the 10th floor in my office building. Whew! was challenging but it was all worth it cause I felt like I accomplished something on my first few weeks of my new lifestyle change.
I count it a blessing what the doc told me cause it made me change the way I eat and have made me take better care of myself. Since I cut out all of the sweets from my diet, (ice cream, cake, cookies, candy, soft drinks, etc. and going with sugar free items, good old plain water with lemon or without, etc.) I have gained lost energy back. I have sooooo much energy now that I do not know what to do with it and I also feel 100% rested in the morning now. I no longer feel sluggish like I used to when I would get up in the morning to prepare for work and feel like I am in need of extra hours sleep. Wow, what getting rid of bad items in you're diet can do for you. Makes a big difference and it have only been 3 weeks since I started. I went from 151 lbs on Sept. 16th and weighed in at 143 lbs Oct. 11th on my 5'2" frame. Need to lose more at least 13 lbs more to be at my ideal weight and for my overall health to beat this prediabetes and help with my pre-hypertension. Oh, ladies/gentlemen I am new to this site and will put up a pic soon.
