Day One of bathroom remodel
Came home at 7.30 after a looong day at the salt mines and discovered whole house COVERED in dust. Bloody contractor did not put up plastic sheeting to provide a barrier during demolition and also locked us out!
Spent last hour cleaning. Allergic to dust and now have hives. Not a happy camper. Benadryl time.
Had to have a bit of a moan.

You deserve 2 moans- how crappy and unprofessional!! What weere they thinking not putting up plastic?? I've had that happen too -it really stinks- dust in the cabinets- clothes- dishes - sheets- ughhhhhh!! Sorry about your hives- home you had wine at home? or tequila : )

Are you kidding me??? What a moron...I would subtract the time I sopent cleaning from his pay, and tell him to be more professional in the future. Hope today is better!

oh that sucks. My own husband did it to me too. we were young though (and inlove so I forgave him), LOL! New bathroom sounds like fun. Gosh I hope you can mix benedryl w/ all the other meds. think of clean up as a work out... feel better!

Thanks everyone. It continues to be a saga. The floor joists are rotting and the plumbing is kaput-chaching. I did pick out some lovely tile and flooring today though. A tumbled marble and a quartz sea foam colored pebble tile. We are going with a beachy theme. I think I am on the construction diet. Wine.
