I am back and it has been a very long time. I am just going to post my profile information here so I can remember it. I am about to update my information this morning.
A little about me, my name is Dionne, I’m originally from TX, but I live in Fort Lauderdale, Florida!
I haven't really had a problem with my weight until now. I married into a family (2006) that enjoys good southern food and fast food. I began eating the same foods and eating junk food because it was there. In 2007 & 2009 I had two babies. I can say one thing, the pregnancy weight was not the problem, it was after I had them I packed on the lbs. I really let myself go drinking soda, eating fast food, and any greasy food I could get my hands on because I was exhausted and lazy. My highest weight ever...215 pounds (a week before I started)!
I’m starting “My 50+ Pounds Art Project” because I am tired of being called fat by my in-laws and friends. I am tired of not wanting to go anywhere because I can’t fit my clothing and I refuse to buy clothes in bigger sizes! I wear the same 2 pair of pants over and over again. I am squeezing, and boy do I mean squeezing, into size 14/16 (knowing darn well I need to be in 18/20). When I look at myself in the mirror I shake my head!
I want to go to the beach (Miami, South Beach, and Fort Lauderdale) and look/feel sexy about my weight and size. I do not have one friend here in Florida and it’s time to start getting out of the house. FLORIDA, there is so much to do, and I want to get out! I want to be healthy and live to see my children grow old. I want to be happy again, and want my old self back. I want God to restore my joy!
*** UPDATE JUNE 2011 *** I FAILED, I DROPPED TO 163 AND NOW I AM BACK INTO THE 190s. I ALSO FOUND OUT I HAVE A THYROID PROBLEM. I am starting over. YEA ME! Oh I am back in those 14/16 again (they fit just right)....well, I never really left them.
