Had my pre-op appointment today. The bad news is the biopsy came back and the tumor they found in my colon is malignant.

The good news is that according to my cat scans and blood work it doesn't look like the cancer has spread beyond the colon and the surgery to remove a portion of my colon should be all I need.

I go in next Wednesday for surgery and will be hospitalized for 3-5 days afterwards.

A little humor from my first oncology appointment. The doctor told me my blood work showed I was anemic and she was worried my iron level may be low for surgery so she, wait for it... took more blood to test it.
