I have been on ATkins for 3 wks. I have not strayed, I have stuck to things very well and yet I feel like things should be working faster.. I know it's not about fast weightloss it's about a new eating lifestyle.. a change for the better and I do feel better most the time. I have had a couple crazy days where I will be craving something I cannot have and so i'll rummage my house and grab a celery stalk and throw some cream cheese on.. if that doesn't work i go get a almonds and see if that works, then pork rinds and so on . I dont over do it but i'm trying to fill that hunger or craving. It has only happened to me twice where I feel a food freak out coming on. and luckily b/c I cleaned EVERYTHING out of all my cabinets and fridge before i started this, I had nothing exactly bad to throw in my mouth. WHEW! Last night was rough, but I made it through. It's reading a lot of y'alls journal entries and updates on the boards that help push me along most days. Thank you all for being so positive when some of the rest of us are struggling. Today is my heavier workout day so.. woo hoo i'm going to keep my chin up.

Way to go on avoiding those temptations. I think we all have those moments where we want to eat everything in site because we are craving something that we just cant get our hands on, and shouldnt get our hands on. Your doing great, just keep up the motivation and the weight will come off. Slow and steady wins the race.

You are right Stacy. It should be faster. The reason that it isn't is that you aren't getting ENOUGH calories. Women need a MINIMUM of 1500-1800 calories per day to loose weight on Atkins. Also, you should NEVER be hungry on Atkins. If you are, you aren't eating enough fat. I would definitely suggest that you sign up at www.atkins.com and post on those forums, they will be very helpful to you.

Thank you both so very much!I'll go do that right now. I didn't sign up on this site when I first started Atkins, I have lost 13 lbs.. which is super!! but also I'm all.. uhh ok.. I lost those 10 in the first 9 days.. hm. Ok I am going to up my fat and calories. Thank you!
