I did not want to say it folks but I think I am at a weight loss halt ...Help! It has been a week of being in ketosis and it is not showing up on Old Betty (my scale) She is a B word anyway. LOL but I don't think she is lying to me. So tell me how do you break this halt on Atkins and I am eating as healthy as I know how. I am holding water I can tell as I am freakin swollen...Not feeling down at all; just bloated!!! haha

Talk to me???


Well happy Tuesday...3 more days and it will be Friday! I am always working for the weekend... :D

Are you loosing size? Remember, a week does NOT make a stall. Is TOM visiting soon? Water retention is temporary, and does not mean that the weight loss has stopped, just means that Betty is having fun lying to you.

Haha! My MB! I love you sister...but I am in keytosis and I just don't get it. I drank 48oz of water already. I work out and I have not cheated once and will NOT cheat as I want to look good by my B day in May... I need your warm hands friend! I am pissed at Old Betty (little lying B word) LOL haha How are you doing today? No journal I went and checked get to writing girlfriend!!! Can you tell I am feeling a little frustrated??? LOL

Yup......I can tell you're frustrated. I am too Sister. We have to try to not let it get to us. As long as you stay on track, the scale will eventually budge. It just gets stubborn sometimes. When it does move, it'll probably be a big loss if you stay on track. BTW, I just posted a journal. :) Love you!

K I promise to stay on track!!! PROMISE...I want to look and feel great. I really can not wait to be back in a size 16...then 14, then 12, then 10 and then my goal 8! I am going to flutterby your journal now.

Don't use the strips. They generally just show hydration or lack thereof. They are no longer recommended by Atkins. Go to the forums and read the link I posted in the topic "stall- induction". There is some GREAT information on that thread, and it applies in both Induction and OWL. Wrap your brain around the fact that you can do EVERYTHING PERFECTLY, and still not loose weight for a period of weeks. Your body is going to do what it is going to do. Just check your menu, and if all good, sit back and enjoy the ride. It WILL start moving again. Don't forget to MEASURE. You can loose size and still not have the weight shift a bit. Keep in mind that I've lost 65#s in 6 months, and that INCLUDES a MONTH stall and several 2 week stalls. It is about the average over time, not the progress from day to day.

And now, having gone back and look at your history, you are one of those people that looses a little slower than other people. That sucks, but your determination WILL get you there in the end. There is a "turtles club" on the Atkins board, and those people are ecstatic if they loose 1# a month. It is all relative.

Go to www.atkins.com There is a VERY active forum there. (Hundreds of posts an hour) I wouldn't be anywhere near as successful without them.

Frustration, yep, you're there! I too started at a weight near yours, but got it off in a drastic way. I remember weeks where the scale wouldn't budge, and I did some serious bawling. I did WHAT to my body and the weight won't drop??!?! It was horrible. Then one day, and the next, that 'needle' just went flying to the left. Yours will too. I agree with the others about letting your clothes tell you what's really happening. When I wasn't losing the weight, I was buying smaller clothes. KEEP WITH IT. BTW, how tall are you? This is a common question for me, folks don't post their heights!! I can visualize me in a size 8... I know it's in me. You can too. OHhh, and your food diary looks awesome. Great job!

I know that feeling but you now on the atkins it works just like that it seems like your gaining instead of loosing but after some weeks you will see the inches melting off what this means is that u gain muscle and u loose fat and muscle is heavier than fat so advice stop the (B) and measure chest,waist,and hips and you will be so impressed!!!Good luck!!

Lol, Old Betty. Makes me laugh every time I read about her. When I'm doing something like cutting back on carbs it seems now (vs when I was younger) to take more time for my body to get with the program. I agree with everyone. I'm sure you'll see that B move soon.

Hey Ms. Butterfly. I see ur new pic and u look GREAT..... kEEP IT UP.Unfortunately I started losing and thought i can cheat for a day which lead into 2 then 3....u get the pic now I have gained back but thank God not all but still I dont want to be in this place. I understand I have been on this atkins thing for 3 weeks and i only see -3 pounds...and I have been working out....uuggghhh...I put it in God's hands. But once again, u look FAB!
