No food journal today - went to a baby shower, and I'm not sure what to put down for some of the items. I didn't do too bad at the shower though, all things considered. Small portions of a few different salads, along with some fresh fruit. Yes, I ate a small piece of chocolate cake as well. I attend events like this very infrequently, so I don't feel guilty about not passing up the cake. Now, if I were going to showers every weekend and taking a huge piece of cake every time that would be a problem. However, a small slice at the 2-3 showers I might attend in a calendar year? Yeah...not gonna feel bad about that.

On the exercise front...I found registration info for a Women's 30+ soccer league through my community's rec department. Hoping to gather up enough women to form a team and/or be able to register with an existing team. I think it would definitely help keep up with regular exercise if I had a standing commitment each week as part of a team.

I don't have the slightest clue how to actually play soccer, but I'm willing to learn. :)

Oh, in case anyone noticed that my weight has dropped 2 pounds in less than a week, that's because my most recent prior weigh-ins were affected by "that time of the month." Today's weigh-in is probably more accurate. It's always difficult for me to decide whether to weigh myself during that time or not, knowing that a short-term situation is affecting the number on the scale.

Anyhow, yay for finally seeing an 8 in the tens position again. Here's to never seeing a 9 again, and hopefully seeing a 7 soon!!
