Anlevon, I was browsing over your diet calendar. I see your calories and carbs are fluctuating a lot. You really need to aim for 1500 - 1800 calories if you are a woman, more if you are a man. Also, if you are in induction you will need to reduce carbs to 20. Don't starve yourself. You wont lose weight. ~keli

Hi kmartin, the carbs you are seeing are not the net carbs, I believe what you are seeing is the total carbs before subtraction to get Net carbs. If you click on any of my recording days you'll see the Net Carbs that I have had for the day. Or am I mistakin here? I am new to Fatscret but I think my Net carbs are okay???

I just checked again and it states that the net carbs are too low. You really need to aim for 20 net carbs with 12-15 of those coming from your foundation vegetables. You can't shoot low in an attempt to lose faster. When you do so you are putting your body into starvation mode and it will backfire. I also relooked at your calories. For the most part they are alright. A few too low, and a few too high but on average within the 1500 - 1800 range. All I would do is up your net carbs to 20. Best of luck, ~keli

I understand completely Anlevon. When I first got on the Atkins a few yrs back I was dropping faster than what I am now. But I have noticed that u will start seeing the results after 3 to 4 weeks...I know seems forever...lol. I stay on the induction phase as long as possible. Maintain in staying at the 20 net carbs and drink plenty of water.. Also it sounds like ur on track...just not losing. I thought i had thyroid problems being that it does run in my family. But I also took a water pill which also helped me since I was retaining water. GOOD LUCK! I hoped I helped!

ms_michelle and kmartin, thank you both for your input, I really appreciate it. Husband can hardly stand me anymore, says I am too possessed with losing weight! lol. When I can hardly fit into my last 2 pair of jeans, (all the other ones are now way too small!) I hardly doubt I am too possessed! I am only 5'1" and am quite a tub at 145. He can't figure it out either though, he says he's never seen anyone so dedicated or trying harder than me to lose weight. I did Atkins about 15 or so years ago, weight just fell off of me but now that I'm older (51) well, it just doesn't work that way anymore I guess! I never ate vegies back then either! Never drank water, lived on Diet Coke for thirst quenching, didn't weigh any food etc. Well, I guess my tide has turned and I have to watch so that I get more carbs from vegies, I guess I am falling short of 12-15 from them. Am getting all my water but I never tally that on my diet entry. I failed again tonight at the vegies but will do better tomorrow I hope! Will have to buy more peppers and mushrooms. Dang weight better start coming off before I wear holes in my only 2 pants! Thank you both again.
