So ready to jump off the bandwagon because I got on the scale and it went back up... :(

I'm annoyed because I'm trying to eat right and work out and nothing is happening...although I know it didn't come on over night, it won't jump off over night. a bag of M&Ms is calling my name and i'm trying not to want it. It gets so hard sometimes. I want to just have a jump start on my weight loss so I can be even more enthusiastic about working hard for it.

I know I'm staying below my daily points(and calories)...but I feel like it is SOOOOOOOOOOOO unhealthy. Why can't I just stop wanting fast food...better yet, why can't there be a healthy fast food place?!?! you could make a killing off of that.

Also, I'm agitated because I don't get paid for another 3 days and I'm broke and I'm running out healthy food in my house. I might be eating ramen noodles for the next few days...

You can lose weight eating not so healthy food, so if you don't have the good stuff, count all your calories or points. Losing weight is commitment you make to yourself to get healthy. You have to slowly change your bad habits and it takes time. If you just started, you need to give your body time to adjust to a new way of eating. If your doing WW, then read your materials and make sure you do it right. When you get the money to shop, get fruit and veggies that are on sale or in season. Get in your lean protein, lean dairy, fruits and veggies. Drink your water (flush out sodium). Get active! Activity burns calories. Nice weather is coming, you can get out and walk, put on music and dance around the house. Whatever works for you. There are workout dvds you can get out of the library too. Also google and read "why the scale lies". If you weigh daily you need to understand why our body weight can fluctuate hourly. Find ways to motivate yourself and get yourself excited about losing weight. Spring is coming. You want to look and feel good. Losing weight is hard and being fat is hard, you just have to choose your "hard". Good luck!

Thank you for that! I did get out and go for a run last night when I was feeling so down on myself, so that helped me. I am just starting and I know that the scale lies...but it is just so hard right now to not be discouraged over things not going like I want.

Your body knows something is up, it is wondering why it is not getting the same foods that it has always gotten. At first, your body is going to reject the changes that you are making by sabotaging your goals. That is why you are having the craving, cause your body knows in the past you gave in and went back to providing it the type of food that it had gotten accustomed to...However, the bright side of it is your body after several weeks will welcome the changes and respond with lower numbers on the scale and provide you with more energy, since you are providing better fuel...so don't give up; we have all given in at some point but I am not going to give up!!!
