Trying to be motivated. You get to a point sometimes where you wonder how the heck to lose weight when you have so much to lose. It gets kind of discouraging but I'm trying I really am. Being a recovering addict I've learned to do a lot of things sober. Losing weight is my new challenge. I should be proud. Off dope for 3 years now. I have a house and a family now and am going to school to be an addictions counselor. Will even have my Level I certificate in April. I like the feeling of starting something and following through and even having something to show for it. I can't wait until I have a new body to show for this endevor I'm embarking upon. It's not as simple as jogging or doing sit ups for me. I can't physically do many sit ups due to a back injury I had years ago. Itis hard with the baby too but I've got to do this if for no other reason for my health. I started the 20 pounds in 10 weeks challenge which requires only drinking water...already messed up with coffee this morning and didn't even think about it. Makes me want to snack all day and start tomorrow but I know that's not the way to do it, nor the attitude to have. I'm not patient and I want the weight off now. Lord, today I ask for patience, diligence and motivation.

Break it down in to more manageable proportions. You could do 10 pounds at a time and reward yourself with nonfood items each time. You could also do the first 10% of your overall weight. Life is going to happen whether your on a diet or not, so you might as well work on getting healthy. Weight loss is a marathon, not a sprint. We have ups, downs and you learn along the way. Take it one day at at a time.

You are on the right track. Belief is half the battle! Believe you can have a fit, healthy body. You deserve it and so does your precious baby. I am pulling for you! One day at a time!
