Way to go! I broke200 at 190 and celebrated! The next day it was 200! Say what!! My husband weighed and it was normal so don't know what happened. Will not give up to get under 200 and reach my weight goal of 170.

@heddahopper, toward the bottom of this article, under "Additional Tips" is good explanation against daily weighing.

@TBU9 studies show that those who keep track of their weight are likely to do something about it when they see it creeping up. It was said that those who weigh themselves daily fared better and did not gain as high as those who did not weigh themselves as often. Those some people have an unhealthy emotional attachment with their scales it's good to weigh yourself daily that way you can decide how you will attack the day. It's expected that one's weight will go up and down as for me I don't find it upsetting when it goes up it helps me understand my body and as to why it's going up. I can see Shark Week coming by what my weight is doing. I've learned what foods cause me to retain water. I find all this knowledge beneficial in my journey to weight loss.

@Deborah that's true for maintenance. Not for loss. If you've seen other studies, please cite.
