I took my mountain bike today so that l could do hill climbs, now for those no conversed with them l will explain. You ride out to a quite road with a steep hill about 150 meters long and you do hill drills. You cycle as hard as you can up to the top and coast back down lol now that does not sound hard till you have done it a dozen times or more. To make it even harder l took my mountain bike which is a lot heavier than my road bike. By the time I had completed the drills my legs were crying out in pain or was that just me lol l then took a 10 mile loop so that I could spin the lactic acid from my muscles. It sounds brutal but it works a treat. End product strong muscles that can endure high outputs. A win win for a cyclist. I had to have a soak in the bath when I got home . All in all a great day. Hope everyone's in good health, take care bye for now.

Sounds brutal! I take it you either don't work or work odd shifts/rotas to be able to do all this cycling. What are your winter plans? A static set up in the house? Keep it going though - you weightloss is great and on target 👍🏻

It is brutal Phooka, but every now and again l do it to shake things up with the body. As for work, l was fortunate that I was able to retire after the last big project l worked on finished. I found l was competing in a work force that would work for less just to get the work. I was not prepared to work for that kind of wage so l took early retirement. Besides it was becoming a rat race and the quality of tradesmen with the relevant experience was becoming a joke. Since I retired my health has got better and I sleep better, l put that down to worry and stress. The demand put on managers nowadays is huge and l am glad I am out of all that now. So yes, l am a man of leisure lol

Sounds blissful! My brother and his wife are both retired at 57 and 55 respectively. It makes a difference when you stay married for 35 years, in the same house and don't need expensive things. I doubt I will retire soon - two marriages too many and a taste for travel and expensive hobbies 😂

I used to do that on foot when I was a runner ... back in a past life now I have chronic illness. Awesome, keep going.
