SWEET! I wouldn't have thought chocolate was an option, if BC hadn't mentioned these. Enjoy. :-)

For anyone who prefers very dark chocolate, Alter Eco's darker varieties have very low net carbs as well. 90% has 3g net per 40g section. Only four ingredients.

@paula thanks lol I’m still loving the hair too. I just ate half the bar... I still have 10g of carbs left for the day that I can eat 🤔 😜 @amybbrooks I have found them at Whole Foods, Fresh Thyme, Kroger’s (Frys if you live out west) I’m indulging on the coconut one and it says less than 1g of sugar

The food companies are up to there old tricks. Used to be you would see "low-fat" foods that were crammed full of sugar, now it is "low-sugar" foods that are high in fat. It makes little difference, the chocolate is still a high-calorie food. Ah but, I know some of you will be saying, "It's low-carb, so I can eat it on my diet." Is it really low-carb? The Lilly's bars pictured have between 19 and 22 g of carbs per 40 g serving. To compare, Hershey's Extra Dark Chocolate 60% Cacao has 21 g of carbs and Lindt Excellence Extra Fine Dark Chocolate 85% Cocoa has only 15 g of carbs per 40 g serving. In fact, all the dark chocolates I looked up at this website had the same carbs than the Lily's ones. So Lily's is not "low-carb". Don't be miss lead by the back of the package where it says "25% fewer calories". While that figure might be true it is misleading. It is 25% fewer calories than, say, a Hershey bar (160 to 170 versus 200 to 230 kcal per 40 g serving) but 160 calories is still a lot of calories for a snack. And that number is only 40 g or half the bar pictured. The whole bar is 320 to 340 kcal. That's equal to a Big Mac (without the bun). There are 200% more calories in that chocolate bar than in a healthy snack such as an apple. Don't get me wrong. I'm not saying never eat chocolate. I have a bar of chocolate in my pocket that I am planning to enjoy while watching a movie later tonight. Rather, I work on the following philosophy: 1. If you want to eat healthily, then eat foods that you know are really health such as fruit, vegetables, beans, dairy, and quality meats, cooked in a healthy way. 2. When you deserve a treat such as cake or chocolate - give yourself that treat without regret. Buy the best chocolate, ice cream, cake, or whatever. Really enjoy your treat.

Yes, the Coconut one for example has 21g of carbs per 40g To get the NET carbs you subtract the dietary fiber & sugar alcohols Carbs21g -Fiber 12g -Erythritol 5g =4 NET carbs

Ooo...so little time...so little carbs...what's a girl to do? Can you roll your carbs over? Oh no? That used to be minutes on a cell phone. It's past midnight. They're just a memory. You've got a whole new 50 gms for today. Have fun 😊👍.

@Paulanavarette, that ranks up there with eating the crumbs off the sheet cake board and not counting the calories (LOL)!
