THE HOLIDAZE IS OVER. IT'S MID JANUARY. FINALLY RECOVERING FROM PNEUMONIA AND STARTING TO FEEL SOMEWHAT NORMAL. TIME TO GET BACK ON TRACK. LEARNED THAT THE PAIN IN MY RIGHT UPPER ABDOMEN IS FROM MY GALLBLADDER FUNCTIONING AT 13%. DOCTOR SAID IT NEEDS TO GO. I PREFER TO EAT BETTER AND DO WHAT I CAN TO HELP IT ALONG. THE SCAN ALSO SHOWED THAT MY KIDNEY IS MALFUNCTIONING. THAT REALLY HAS ME CONCERNED. THAT'A A PRETTY SERIOUS ISSUE. AGAIN, I AM GOING TO FOCUS ON EATING FOODS THAT HEAL THE KIDNEYS AND DRINK LOTS OF WATER AND HERBAL TEA. ALSO, THE SCAN SHOWED AN ENLARGED LIVER WITH FATTY DEPOSITS. FATTY LIVER DISEASE? APPARENTLY, 30% OF CHILDREN IN THE U.S. HAVE THAT, THANKS TO THE AMERICAN DIET; SAD. I'VE BEEN DOING SOME RESEARCH. EXERCISE IS BENEFICIAL TO ALL INTERNAL ORGANS, SO THAT STARTS TODAY. GOAL IS A MINIMUM OF 150 MINUTES PER WEEK, OR 30 MINUTES A DAY, 5 DAYS A WEEK. I WILL BEGIN WITH PHYSICAL THERAPY EXERCISES FOR MY KNEE AND BACK AND RIDE THE STATIONARY BIKE INDOORS. I'M CRAVING ROSEMARY. WEIRD.

LOST 4 LBS. IN 2 DAYS! LOVE IT! I KNOW IT'S JUST WATER, BUT I FEEL THINNER. MY BELLY DOESN'T PROTRUDE AS BAD. I REALLY LIKE THE WAY IT MAKES ME FEEL.

DAY 1 WAS A TOTAL SUCCESS! 62% FAT (GOAL IS 60%), 23% PROTEIN (GOAL IS 30%, AND 15% CARBS (GOAL IS 10%). I DID IT! I'M PLEASED! GOING OUT TO LUNCH WITH A FRIEND TODAY, SO HOPING I STAY STRONG IN MY CHOICES. WE WILL FOLLOW LUNCH WITH A HIKE WITH MY DOGS IN THE WOODS.
