New goal.

I've decided I can't possibly tackle my eight issue by looking at the big picture. This month I'm going to lose 5 pounds. That's it. Nothing earth scattering. Once I reach my goal, I will have succeeded. Yeah, I'll need to repeat it several times, but who cares?

This month, five pounds.

Yesterday started out great - then I decided I wanted a Sprite (forgot to record it). Hubby decided that I needed Oreo's (I can't *not* eat them) and Whoppers.

So we sat and watched Vikings, and ate - all of it.

Yep.

And so it goes...

Hopefully tomorrow I'll be out on the lake on my kayak instead of on my way to Vegas to see my mom. Alzhiemer's sucks, but having her care facility's hospital screw up and send her to a loony bin rather than an outpatient care facility doesn't help things much.

Last night's dinner was ah-maz-ing!

One of my friends had posted a picture of bacon wrapped asparagus and it was just enough to get my appetite back in gear from the depression I'd been dealing with. Funny how mood can affect one's appetite.

Anyhow, this is roughly what it looks like. Except we had 4-6 spears wrapped in 2 pieces of bacon per set.


I had two sets of spears with two slices of yellow squash for dinner. I'm so glad I have a husband who likes to cook!

If I'm going to sit around and mindlessly shove food into my mouth it's going to be celery.

I don't care for celery, but I know that it's a heck of a lot better for me than the things I have been eating. A heck of a lot fewer calories, and more fiber, that's for sure.
