I just wanted to say how happy I am to see the scale go down again today. I’ve really been putting the work in - at the same time, I’m working hard to not drive myself nuts with this. I’m doing yoga three times a week and keeping my calories under 1800 during the week (my calorie content went up a bit over the weekend). Even with indulging a bit this weekend (hello Turkish meatballs) I was still able to see results! Woo! Go me!!

So I’m at a weird place in my life where two of my closest friends are two guys. They’re about my age. Both of them are making various lifestyle changes this year to lose weight. I now slightly feel a bit more pressure to lose my 5lbs this month. Is this normal? Lol
I guess if I really psychoanalyze myself, it’s because I don’t want to be “left behind” on Planet Chunky. I find this kinda amusing.
Im taking a closer look at my daily calorie intake. I’m allowed 2000 calories a day. Am I going to lose weight with this? I work out most days of the week and walk around my house but right now not doing anything too intense (I might do a belly dancing dvd later).

Well Monday is over and I’m in herbal tea land. Right now it’s my favorite strawberry and elderflower blend. I decided to take Dry January seriously this year. I did it last year and felt great. I’d love to stop drinking all together but it creeps in at social occasions. Then this morning, I got a rude awakening that I’ve been drinking too much coffee and had a terrible headache - so now I’ve also decided not to have any coffee for the rest of this month either. I usually am a tea drinker but I got into coffee over the holidays.
I guess it doesn’t hurt to take a break from it all! Less calories too. Right now, FS put my daily target amount at 2,000. I’m staying under it but am concerned it’s too high. I’m used to things saying more like 1600. I used to do weight watchers and when I calculated my points into calories, I was allowed essentially about 1200 for the day. So... this was a surprise but hopefully a good one!
