Starting over. Was down to 297 but got super busy and quit paying attention...again.

Been away for awhile. That new writer's group I once mentioned in a journal entry went crazy. It's been one event, signing, reading, conference after another. I did get down to 300 lbs. or 15 lbs lost but then my son moved in. He eats a lot of fast food and brings bad things into the house. When I was actively dieting I asked him to keep things in his room but then I stopped and well...
I forgot about fat secret until I was cleaning out old emails and stumbled across it again. I did pretty well when I had people to whine to that understand. I also started a weight loss blog. I've been doing DASH but it just doesn't kill the carb cravings. I know people think Atkins is bad but at least on Atkins I had some control. Oh, and I did try a poor man's medifast recently. I lost 13 lbs really fast and then lost my gall bladder as a result. Then I regained the 13 lbs. Darn it. So I do think Atkins is the way for me to go and I'll be starting that tonight. SEee you all. Sorry I flaked.

Weight is staying the same. I'm not getting much exercise. I wanted to but got so busy with other things I haven't even been keeping up with my food entries. Things should get back to normal soon.

No time to record food or even weigh myself this week. Trying to finish the rewrite on Yetzirah and my writers assoc. asked me to write proposals so we can host some forums/workshops. Glad that's done. But of course there's always the housework and the day job!
Day 20 of not eating grains. At last weigh in had lost 6 lbs. Son says instead of celebrating at day 30 I will eliminate starches. Goodbye potaotes. Sob. Who told my son he could be so bossy? Oh yeah, I did.
First day of exercise. Started with Tae Bo this AM. After work I'll try to do 30 minutes on the treadmill or weights. So much to do. So little time!

Happy to see another pound gone, especially after coming back from a short vacation. Cutting out grains is definitely the answer. Allowing myself some potatoes, corn and fruit seems to make it easier to stick with no grains. If I stop losing I'll eliminate the starchy veggies and see what that does.
